Mental health has gotten increasingly worse since the onset of COVID, especially in youth. I helped support groups in communities and schools around Washington before founding my own at a public school in Tacoma. During the course of four years, I led this group, helping students struggling with mental health by discussing topics, practicing healthy coping, providing a safe space, and overall helping to spread awareness of this issue. Additionally, I spent my last two years writing a 200-page illustrated novel that would be published on Amazon. This book was sent to school libraries in Washington to further support students who I couldn’t reach.
