Volunteer Toolkit (VTK)

The Volunteer Toolkit (VTK) is a digital resource that supports troop leaders and co-leaders, as well as guardians of Individually Registered Members (IRMs), making the process of running a troop or a single Girl Scout experience easier and more efficient.

How to Access the VTK

You’ll find the VTK via the left menu bar of MyGS in My Account. It’s accessible on any desktop, tablet, or mobile device.

You can navigate to MyGS from any page on our website via the icon in the upper right corner on our website.

Have questions about using the VTK? Check out our VTK FAQs.

VTK User Guides

Features in the VTK

Through the VTK, troop leaders and IRM caregivers can:

  • Plan the troop’s calendar year.
  • View the troop roster and contact info for troop families.
  • View and customize Daisy through Ambassador Journeys and badges to plan for troop meetings, including prepopulated tracks for K-12 and multi-level troops.
  • Explore individual meeting plans that show a breakdown of activities for every meeting, including a list of materials and meeting aids.
  • Record Girl Scouts’ attendance at meetings and their badge and Journey achievements.
  • Add council or custom troop events to the troop’s calendar.
  • Easily locate resources, such as uniform badge and awards chart, council resources, and Safety Activity Checkpoints.
  • Access the finance tab to submit the Annual Troop Finance Report (ATFR). IRM caregivers do not have access to this tab.

What about caregivers?

  • If your troop leader has created a year plan, caregivers can access the VTK to see the meeting calendar and access resources.
