Together, you'll learn that what makes each of you unique is what makes you powerful.
With all this support and encouragement, it’s not surprising that four out of five Girl Scouts say they have a best friend in their troop.
The groups of Girl Scouts who meet for activities and adventures are called Girl Scout troops. And once you find yours, you’ll never want to let them go.
Why? Because these Girl Scouts and their families are going to become a circle of friendship like you’ve never had before. Your troop is a safe space where you can take risks, have fun, and be your true, unfiltered self.
With all this support and encouragement, it’s not surprising that four out of five Girl Scouts say they have a best friend in their troop.
After providing basic contact information, you’ll get a list of troops that might be right for you. Check out their meeting frequencies, times, and locations by clicking on “More details about this Troop” in the troop information area—then choose the one you like best.
If you don’t see what you’re looking for in your area, contact our team at customercare@girlscoutsww.org and we’ll help you find the best place for your child.
It’s all about you! If you’re looking for an opportunity to join Girl Scouts while also embracing your unique background, an Affinity Troop might be for you.
You Belong at Girl Scouts. At Girl Scouts, we believe every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued. With our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion racial justice, and belonging, we aim to build a community where all girls*—regardless of their background—can thrive and discover their boundless potential.
Being a Girl Scout contributes to better grades and making healthier decisions in the long run. Everything a Girl Scout does is designed to make sure they feel seen, supported, and cared for—now and in the future. In a time when anxiety and depression are affecting young people in record numbers, we can’t think of anything more important.
Groups of Girl Scouts from the same community, called troops, typically meet weekly or biweekly for an hour or two. Supported by adult volunteers, Girl Scouts complete exciting activities and projects, explore their communities, and make new friends. Along the way, they earn badges to reflect their skills, growth, and formative adventures.
Our Community Engagement team grows and supports “Affinity Troops”, which are troops made for Girl Scouts and families who share similar cultural or identity experiences. We focus on creating a space where everyone feels like they belong and can celebrate what makes them unique.
