Foundation partners help us reach historically excluded communities, expand the opportunities we offer, and give every Girl Scout the freedom to choose their path. Together, we build Girl Scouts of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place!
Girl Scouts of Western Washington is grateful to the M.J. Murdock Charitable Trust for their deep support of our camps. As part of their COVID-19 Youth Well-Being Initiative, the Trust has provided us with a three-year grant for maintenance staff members at Camp Robbinswold, Camp River Ranch, and Camp Lyle McLeod to increase our capacity to host groups and keep camp safe and functional during the off-season. We are proud of this partnership and excited about the results we’re already seeing because of increased capacity.
Girl Scouts of Western Washington is proud to be at the beginning of a partnership with Serve Washington/AmeriCorps. Through this government funding, we have spent 2022/23 planning a new partnership where AmeriCorps members will lead troops in communities throughout our region with the goal of growing and diversifying our membership. We will begin recruiting AmeriCorps members in summer of 2023, pending continued funding. We are so grateful to Serve Washington/AmeriCorps for this partnership that will help us expand the youth we serve! Learn more about AmeriCorps opportunities on our AmeriCorps Positions webpage.
