Your Girl Scout Experience and the College Search: For Seniors - Live Virtual Event

MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED

Date: Sun Jan 30, 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM PST

In this workshop for Seniors and their parents, you'll learn how your Girl Scout experience can make you a stronger candidate for college and inform your college search. We'll discuss what colleges are looking for and how to develop your qualifications, as well as how to identify schools that will be a great fit. You'll also receive a timeline for preparation and applications, including standardized testing and financial aid. By the end of the event you will be well-prepared to complete Steps 1, 2 and 3 of the College Knowledge badge!

Note: Partner is located on the East Coast. Times on their registration page are in Eastern (6pm Eastern, 3pm Pacific).

Cost: $25 per Girl Scout 
Financial Assistance is available for members of Girl Scouts of Western Washington until 1/10/2022. To qualify for the Financial Assistance Program, you must submit the annual 2021-2022 Financial Assistance Application form. Then, to apply for Financial Assistance for this third-party partner program:

Location: Virtual
Drop-Off: This is a VIRTUAL program that is NOT drop-off. The Girl Scout needs to be accompanied by a parent/guardian and/or troop leader.
Registration Deadline: 1/29/2022
Cancellation Policy:This program is provided by a third-party partner. Each partner sets and enforces their own cancellation and refund policy. This partner has provided GSWW with the following policy: The session will be recorded for viewing at a later time. We'll discuss what colleges are looking for, how to prepare strong applications and essays, standardized testing and test-optional admissions, and an overview of the financial aid system. By the end of the event you'll be well-prepared to complete Steps 1, 2 and 3 toward the College Knowledge badge!

Note: Partner is located on the East Coast. Times on their registration page are in Eastern (4pm Eastern, 1pm Pacific).

Cost: $25 per Girl Scout
