Math Workshops for Underserved Elementary Students

For my Gold Award project, I created math workshops for underserved elementary school students. The workshops aimed to build their confidence and improve their skills by providing accessible, engaging, and supportive learning experiences. My goal was to make math more approachable and help students succeed academically. By working with Canopy Scholars as a community partner and providing my curriculum to other tutors, this program continues to impact students in a positive manner.
Advice to Future Gold Award Girl Scouts: Choose a project that you’re genuinely passionate about. The journey can be long and challenging, so having that deep personal connection to your cause will keep you motivated and proud of your work every step of the way. Passion fuels persistence.
