Emergency Preparedness is often approached from a place of fear. Let's face it, the subject can be daunting and scary. This ten-part patch program is designed for Girl Scouts of all ages to learn how to BE PREPARED, NOT SCARED!
Girl Scouts will learn how to keep their zombie resilient in
emergencies and earn a unique zombie patch! This patch program
includes a curriculum for the center Zombie Patch and the 9
rockers: Water, Light & Heat, First Aid, Pets, Cooking, Food,
Shelter, Communications, and Mutual Aid (patch and rockers are not
included and must be purchased separately).
The requirements for this patch program can be done
individually, as a family, or as a troop. You do not need
to do this on your own; however, there are lots of folks in your
community who can help. Don't be afraid to reach out to your County
Department of Emergency Management, local Fire or Police Department,
the American Red Cross, or even your local veterinarian.
This patch program can be done with your family or troop--in person
or on the virtual platform of your choice.
Please
note: This is the same curriculum as the previous The Great Cascadia
Zombie Survival Challenge Patch Program.
Cost: $5 per Girl Scout
Registration is required to obtain the curriculum. You can
purchase your center patch and 8 rockers through the Girl
Scout Store.
