The Importance of Indoor Cats

I made a children’s book in hopes of educating people on an issue not talked about. This project is not meant to shame owners for their choices but rather educate and bring awareness to how they can have a positive impact on the health of pet cats and the local environment. It’s not up to the cat to decide if it wants to be outside. As people who have domesticated these creatures, it’s our responsibility to provide safety for them and the habitat they inhabit. By partnering with PAWS, an organization whose sole purpose is helping animals, the book reaches and educates more people about the issue.
Advice to Future Gold Award Girl Scouts: Starting the Gold Award is a daunting task but knowing that it will make an impact on something or someone is what motivates you to keep going. Being able to complete something so important at this young of an age prepares you for your future.
