Mini Marlins Swim

Mini Marlins Swim is a program for kids ages 4–7 that teaches them safety skills in and out of the pool, confidence in their swimming abilities, and gets them excited about swimming. I created Mini Marlins Swim to increase the amount of young children who know how to swim and be safe near water, with a goal to decrease the likelihood of young children drowning. I also created Mini Marlins Swim as my neighborhood pool had a lack of affordable swimming lessons and was not teaching children any water safety.
Advice to Future Gold Award Girl Scouts: The Gold Award has lots of challenging steps and takes lots of time to complete, there is also lots of writing involved. The Gold Award is definitely worth it in the end!
