I created a 10-week program where students from Glacier Park Elementary School would listen to a 30- minute lesson about varying topics such as journaling, what anxiety looks and feels like, the rose bud thorn method, and the benefits of the outdoors. In the remainder of the time, they would create watercolor paintings. Each week, I would take their work home to photograph them once dry and compile quotes from staff and students from Tahoma High School and the two middle schools in our district. I would print out these slides with color ink on card stock paper and give them to the children the next week. The kids would be challenged to give their quote to a peer they had never talked to before, in hopes of getting them out of their comfort zone and making connections they wouldn’t have had the courage to without my program.

Quote That Personifies Your Girl Scout Experience: "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us." Romans 8:18
