Our Council

At Girl Scouts of Western Washington, our community is strong and our vision is clear:

We invest in our community through Girl Scouts. Our community represents every race, ethnicity, income level, sexual orientation, ability, and religion; reflects a spectrum of gender identity; and connects across geographic locations. By focusing our attention on community members who are furthest from racial, economic, and social justice, Girl Scouts can be an instrument of change, promoting equitable outcomes for all. We wholly commit to taking action to grow as an anti-racist and anti-oppressive organization so that, through Girl Scouts, our members are affirmed as they strive to make our community and world better.

To turn this vision into a reality, we have four key initiatives to support this focus:

Flexible Experiences for Girl Scouts and Volunteers
Both Girl Scouts and volunteers will have meaningful and flexible options that reflect their diverse interests and needs.

Focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Our leadership, staff, and volunteers will have the skills and resources needed to engage with the racially, ethnically, and generationally diverse communities we serve. Learn more about our diversity and equity work.

Transformative Philanthropy
Our organization will build strength and resilience through long-term relationships with partners who share our vision.

Collaborative Technology
Our organization will be accessible, responsive, and easy to navigate for Girl Scouts, families, volunteers, and staff.

We serve more than 14,000 youth and 5,000 volunteers across 18 counties in Western Washington, with three offices, three stores, and seven camps!

At the end of the day, we’re here to empower Girl Scouts. Will you join us?
