Girl Scouts of Western Washington would like to invite our African
and African American families and friends to the third annual Umoja
Family Campout! UMOJA means unity in Swahili and is a principle to
strive for and maintain unity in the family, community, nation, and
race.
Come spend the weekend after Juneteenth at Camp
River Ranch in Carnation, WA, nestled in the foothills of the Cascade
Mountains! This weekend of family fun at camp is specifically designed
as a welcoming space in nature for families and members who identify
as African, Black, or African American. This camp is open to Girl
Scout members and their families.
