Camp & Outdoors

The way we award Camp Grants has changed. Please visit our Financial Assistance page for more information.

From the backyard to the backcountry, Girl Scouts has a long and storied history of getting every girl outdoors. In fact, many Girl Scouts tell us summer camp and camping trips are one of the best things about their Girl Scout experience. It’s true: connecting with the great outdoors in a girl-led setting is a big benefit of belonging to Girl Scouts.

Here in western Washington, we have three council-run overnight summer camps, tons of summer day camp options, 43 community-run summer camps, and lots of opportunities to camp throughout the year at our eight council-operated properties!

So, what are you waiting for? Check out all of our ways to camp at Girl Scouts of Western Washington!

Science
Touch Tank

Science at camp? Really?

Yes, really! Camp Robbinswold’s location on Hood Canal makes it a waterfront paradise. In addition to swimming and boating fun, it gives campers the unique opportunity to discover first-hand the magic of marine environments and wildlife.

In the nature room, campers use the microscope and other tools to examine local plankton. The waterfront also offers saltwater aquariums and a touch tank where campers can get up close and personal with local wildlife. (Aquariums and touch tank available during summer camp only.)

All our camps have great nature programming that incorporates science into the camp experience. Check out our Summer Camp Guide for a full list of upcoming programs!
