Join us each month as we highlight the oustanding volunteers who help guide, mentor, and inspire local Girl Scouts to unleash their limitless potential, shatter expecations, and be the change-makers our world needs.
The Board of Directors for Girl Scouts of Western Washington comprises of dedicated thought leaders and passionate community members who help guide our organization forward. Board members contribute their time and expertise to support strategic planning and fundraising, ensuring that every girl* in Western Washington can thrive as a Girl Scout.
Elke Suber is a a longtime supporter of Girl Scouts who has served as a member of our Girl Scouts of Western Washington Board of Directors since 2019. Her current roles on the board are Board Secretary and Chair of the Donor and Volunteer Stewardship Committee.
Elke is also the Chief Legal and People Officer at Community.com, a leading SMS customer engagement platform. She brings her 25+ years of experience as a strategic legal and business executive in technology and high-growth businesses, ranging from private practice to some of the world's largest brands and the start-up space—including Akin, Microsoft, Meta, and Community.com. In 2018, Elke was recognized by Savoy Magazine as one of the Most Influential Black Lawyers in corporate America.
Elke is an active volunteer in both legal and civic organizations in addition to serving on several non-profit boards—including Girl Scouts of Western Washington's Board of Directors. We are so lucky to have Elke's expertise contribute to the strategic direction of our organization—and appreciate the aspirational role model she sets for the next generation of girl* leaders.
