Introducing: Crowded for Volunteer Banking
Welcome to Crowded!
We're excited to share that Girl Scouts of Western Washington is partnering with Crowded, a financial management platform designed specifically to simplify banking and financial management for volunteers, through a national partnership with Girl Scouts of the USA.
Our goal is to make Girl Scout finance management less time-consuming so volunteers can focus on what matters most: delivering great Girl Scout experiences for girls.
Since this is a national partnership, please be sure to refer to and use Girl Scouts of Western Washington-provided resources for details, as other councils may have slightly different approaches to how they are launching this for their volunteers.
In-person virtual training will take place on October 15th and 29th. You only need to select one training session. A recording of the training will be available after the training.

Current GSWW Crowded Transition Status:
- Today: The updated checking account request application is live on our website!
- October 15, 2026: Live virtual training
- October 29, 2026: Live virtual training—register here!
- December 31, 2026: All existing accounts must be connected to Crowded. KeyBank and Columbia Bank accounts do not need to be closed yet.
- Spring 2027: Additional training and refresher sessions.
- September 30, 2027: All KeyBank, Columbia, and other outside bank accounts will be closed, with funds transferred to Crowded.
Throughout this timeline, staff will be available at some Learning Conferences and other events to work through connections and questions.
Volunteer-led Camps with current Girl Scouts of Western Washington bank accounts can wait to connect until after your planning meeting in January of 2027.
