Volunteers

Volunteer with Girl Scouts to see your impact firsthand! Most Girl Scout programming is delivered by volunteers. Whether you want to support an event, lead a workshop, help behind the scenes, or volunteer on a regular basis with a troop, we have opportunities for you.

Ways to Get Involved

Camp Maintenance Volunteers

We’ve currently identified two types of volunteer opportunities. The first are work parties that include general cleaning, brush removal, trail clearing, organizing, winterizing, and other general maintenance work. The second is skilled labor needed to complete identified projects at each camp. We will match volunteers with specific tasks at camp based on the skills required for maintenance work and projects. If you are interested in helping at a Camp Property, please complete the Camp Maintenance Volunteer interest formThere you can indicate any skills you have that may benefit camp property projects and maintenance. We’ll follow up with you regarding next steps.

COVID-19 Considerations

Current WA Safe Start Phase Guidelines have limited volunteer groups sizes. Please be patient with us as we prioritize camp needs with volunteer and staff capacities. It may take some time until we have a camp volunteer opportunity that matches your skillset or availability. Also, because of the Safe Start Phase Guidelines, COVID-19 risks, and specific needs at camp, we’re currently limiting camp volunteers to 18 years and older.  Click here for a comprehensive look at Girl Scouts of Western Washington Member Safety Guidelines.

Camp Maintenance Volunteer Forms

Anyone volunteering at our camp properties must sign the appropriate Volunteer Job Description and complete the following COVID-19 Waiver. Forms will also be available upon arrival at camp.
