The Community Resident Camp Program
Join us for a summer resident camp experience operated by experienced Girl Scout adult volunteers from regions around the council, to enjoy a camp community that progresses year after year. These programs are four days, three nights, or longer, with most operating for a full week at camp, or seven days, six nights.
Community Resident Camp teams offer six, full-week programs at Camp Lyle McLeod, one short-term camp opportunity at Camp St. Albans, and now a new primitive camp experience at the Northern Property.

Each camp has a unique program opportunity for girls with great camp activities include canoeing, swimming, archery, arts and outdoor skills. All campers experience the rich opportunity of team development and the Girl Scout Leadership Experience as applied to their age level.

The Girl Scouts of Western Washington Camp Program Manager provides support to camp teams, to aid adult volunteers with appropriate training for the positions they serve, including certified adults in program leadership, such as certified lifeguards, trained kitchen staff and a camp nurse. Volunteer Camp Directors are seasoned and dedicated Girl Scouts, with full capacity to provide fun and safety for a healthy camp community.

New teams are in formation to expand this volunteer led experience.  If your region is prepared to start a Community Resident Camp program please contact the Camp Program Manager to find out more.
