 2014 Annual Report

Thank you to all the generous supporters—donors, volunteers, girls and families—who make Girl Scouting in western Washington possible!

What an exciting year it has been! From feats of engineering, wild acts of courage and true leadership to boundless exploration of all the outdoors has to offer, we’ve had front row seats to some truly inspiring acts of discovery by girls. Because you’re a valuable part of the Girl Scout community, and we know you are passionate about seeing girls in western Washington thrive, we saved a few seats for you.

In this year’s Annual Report, you'll meet a Girl Scout Gold Award earner focused on getting teens involved in emergency preparedness, a tenacious group of beginning engineers who are now experts at team building AND robot making, and the strategies we’re using to reach more girls in underserved communities with the power of Girl Scouts!

These stories are just brief snapshots of the true community building happening at Girl Scouts of Western Washington. We’ve got thousands of stories that illustrate the transformation, confidence-building, and local and global impact happening all around us. The number of girls whose lives have changed because of Girl Scouts is awe-inspiring, and we wouldn’t be successful without your generous donations, your time and your commitment to supporting girls’ dreams and goals.

My sincerest thanks for believing, like we do, that girls are showing us each and every day that they can, do and will continue to make the world a much better place.

Sincerely,
Megan Ferland
