Girl Scouts of Western Washington Earns Four-Star Rating from Charity Navigator
Girl Scouts of Western Washington is proud to be presented with a four-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s premier independent charity evaluator. Based on their new rating system, Girl Scouts of Western Washington earned a four-star rating for both 2010 and 2011.
Charity Navigator assists charitable givers to make intelligent giving decisions by providing in-depth, objective ratings and analysis of the financial health of America’s largest charities. A four-star rating indicates that an organization demonstrates exceptional financial health, outperforming most of its peers in its efforts to manage and grow its finances in the most fiscally responsible way possible. Receiving this four out of a possible four stars indicates that Girl Scouts of Western Washington adheres to good governance and other best practices that minimize the chance of unethical activities and consistently executes our mission in a fiscally responsible way.
According to President and CEO of Charity Navigator, Ken Berger, only 14 percent of the charities that Charity Navigator rates have received at least two consecutive four-star evaluations, indicating that Girl Scouts of Western Washington outperforms most other charities in America.
