Girl Scouting increases girls' awareness of the world, promotes cross-cultural learning opportunities and educates girls about relevant global issues that inspire them to take action.
At Girl Scouts of Western Washington, girls and adults engage in meaningful opportunities to strengthen their local and global communities. These opportunities also empower and inspire them to continue to make positive change.
Girls have the opportunity to participate in Take Action projects in their local and global communities. Programs intentionally build personal responsibility and often incorporate service learning that is tied to girls' passions and interests. Through these Take Action projects, each girl will:
- Understand that her decisions and actions have an impact on herself and others.
- Find her voice and feel empowered to express herself.
- Gain a sense of belonging and greater connection to her community.
- Learn to lead and inspire others to have a positive impact.
