Discover the magic of rocks, minerals, and wonders of geology in this fun hands-on class for Girl Scouts! We’ll dig into earth science concepts, explore natural resources, and interact with exciting geologic specimens that are yours to keep! Material kit includes a variety of rocks and minerals, identification card, geology patch, and a colorful agate slab that will be inspiration for an art project. Pairs well with Outdoor Art Explorer badge.
Cost: $35 per Girl Scout
Financial Assistance is available for members of Girl Scouts of Western Washington until 12/18/2020. To qualify for the Financial Assistance Program, you must submit the annual 2020-2021 Financial Assistance Application. Then, to apply for Financial Assistance for this third-party partner program:
- Register with the vendor directly
- Submit an additional Event Grant through the Financial Assistance Application form
- Email a copy of the payment receipt or invoice to financialassistance@girlscoutsww.org, OR mail to GSWW Financial Assistance, PO Box 770, DuPont, WA 98327.
- Out of council members must inquire about FA through their home council.
Drop-Off: This is a VIRTUAL program that is NOT drop-off. The Girl Scout needs to be accompanied by a parent/guardian and/or troop leader.

Cancellation Policy: This program is provided by a third-party partner. Each partner sets and enforces their own cancellation and refund policy. This partner has provided GSWW with the following policy: Refunds acceptable if material kits have not yet shipped. If materials have shipped, let's discuss a transfer to a new class or refund minus value of kit.
