Volunteer Training
Learn to prepare for and plan an overnight with girls. Basic outdoor skills will include operating lanterns and propane stoves, group outdoor cooking, building campfires and practice sleeping outside. This required workshop should be taken six to eight weeks prior to the overnight to allow time to involve the girls in planning. This workshop is an overnight workshop sleeping outdoors. It allows troops to stay overnight for two nights in any outdoor situation. Registrants will receive a confirmation email approximately a week and a half prior to the event with a packing list and information about the workshop. Click HERE if you would like to see the packing list and additional information in advance.

Camp Klahanee is a smaller Girl Scout property, with limited outdoor shelter sleeping space. In order to serve the most participants, some will need to bring tents. They can be checked out from Girl Scout Service Centers if needed. All participants should plan on tents and additional sleep arrangements will be made closer to the date. Please contact Elizabeth Rogers at for further questions.
