DigiPen is partnering with Girl Scouts to offer Cadettes and Juniors the opportunity to earn the three Coding for Good badges defined by Girl Scouts USA. Cadettes and Juniors will be separated into different sections so that instruction is delivered at the appropriate level. Girl Scouts may choose to register for all three badge workshops but also have the option to choose just the badges that they wish to earn.

Facilitated by instructors at DigiPen’s Redmond campus, the requirements for each badge will be completed by Girl Scouts during a 3-hour session held on Saturday mornings from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 a.m. as follows:
  1. Saturday, March 28th, 2020 – Digital Game Design Badge: Explore how programmers combine programming skills and design elements into the engaging game experiences that players thrive on.
  2. Saturday, April 4th, 2020 – App Development Badge: Learn how to design and develop software programs that can help solve problems for people.
  3. Saturday, April 11th, 2020 - Coding Basics Badge: The focus of this workshop is on developing a basic understanding of how computers work and how people can write code for them.
Cost: $40 per workshop or $100 for all 3 workshops
