Intro to 3D Printing - Maker Skill Workshop at Seattle Office Makerspace

Learn the basics of 3D printing. What is CAD? How do Makers use it? How do we make 3D designs? How do the printers work? Girl Scouts will learn all the basic skills of how to use CAD software to create a 3D design, and how to Slice and export a design to a 3D printer. We’ll also cover tools needed for 3D Printing, printer maintenance, and all the potential applications of 3D printing. *Due to time constraints of 3D printing, we will not be able to print everyone's designs during the workshop, but we will print & mail afterwards if wanted. And Girl Scouts will get to see the 3D printers in action! **This workshop involves fine motor skills and computer mouse work--adults can assist if needed.
