To maintain a viable blood bank, Bloodworks Northwest, our program partner, requires 1000 donors every day. This patch program is designed for all age levels. You can make difference by sharing what you learn.

Brownie Pets Badge with PAWS - Live Virtual Event

Pets have many of the same needs that we do. Through engaging activities, learn about what it takes to care for a dog or cat and how to keep them happy, healthy, and safe. Learn about how PAWS helps cats and dogs, and how you can too. During this program, Girl Scouts will complete all of the requirements of the Brownie Pets badge.

This event is ONLY open to individual Girl Scouts or groups with four or fewer girls wanting to participate. Troops with five or more Girl Scouts MUST schedule a private program at https://calendly.com/paws-scouts.

The PAWS Fun Patch will be mailed to you at no additional cost upon completion of the program. Brownie Pets Badge may be purchased from the Girl Scouts store.

Virtual Escape Room: A Trip to Mars - Multiple Date Listing (July)

This is a MULTIPLE DATE LISTING for this program for July. See below for all event date options. 

In this one time event, Girl Scouts will use logic and deductive reasoning to solve a perplexing mystery! Rumor has it that there has been some foul play on the planet Mars. After a secret mission went awry, an astronaut has gone missing. The final transmission was concerning and you were hired to investigate. Can you solve the mystery and find a way home?

If your Girl Scout loves mystery themed novels and detective shows, then they will love this program! This experience will give your Girl Scout the chance to test their critical thinking skills in hypothetical situations based in fantasy and reality. Girl Scouts will learn how to excel in puzzles and riddles that involve colors, wordplay, shapes, and math. Throughout the activity, they will be encouraged to share and debate hypotheses with their peers to work together to solve the mystery before the workshop ends.

Materials needed: Paper and pencil to write down clues!
Badge connections: Daisy Making Choices, Brownie Senses, Junior Detective, Cadette Special Agent
Badges will need to be purchased separately upon completion of event.
Program held through Zoom. Zoom link will be provided closer to the event date.

Learn all about the many amazing types of bugs that share our planet and why we need bugs in our lives! Do fun crafts and activities to help you earn your Bugs Badge!

Activities include: Meet a Bug Specialist!; Make Your Own Butterfly; See bugs in action!; Explore Bug Homes; and Take a bug field-trip. (Girl Scouts need to complete this requirement on their own to complete badge.)

Women in Commercial & Military Aviation made possible by Boeing- Live Virtual Event

Visit The Museum of Flight! In small groups you will rotate around the museum. You will take a self-guided tour of the brand new Stranger Than Fiction: The Incredible Science of Aerospace Medicine exhibit which tells the story of daring aviation and space adventurers, doctors and researchers developing the means for us to go higher, faster and farther through the air and into space. You will watch a video of pre-flight check and then get a 30-minute sesssion in the flight simulators.
