Blood: The Gift of Life Patch Program (Oct-Dec)

One in seven Americans will need a blood transfusion at some time in their lives however, only one in ten donate blood. To maintain a viable blood bank, Bloodworks Northwest, our program partner, requires 1000 donors every day. This patch program is designed for all age levels. You can make difference by sharing what you learn.

PAWS for Cats and Dogs - Live Virtual Event

Earn your Brownie Pets badge with PAWS! Pets have many of the same needs that we do. Through engaging activities, kids will learn about what it takes to care for a dog or cat and how to keep them happy, healthy and safe. Learn about how PAWS helps cats and dogs, and how you can too! This workshop fulfills all the requirements for the Girl Scout Brownie Pets badge.

The PAWS Fun Patch will be mailed to you at no additional cost upon completion of the program. Brownie Pets Badge may be purchased from the Girl Scouts store.

Virtual Escape Room: Halloween at Pandora's Manor - Week of October 17-23

Rumor has it that some kids went missing while trick-or-treating at Pandora’s Manor! The locals and police haven’t dared to investigate because word has it there is a ghost that roams the premises. You have been hired to enter and sleuth out what has actually happened so the mystery can finally be solved. If you combine your deductions, you can find out what really happened. Do you believe in ghosts?

If your Girl Scout loves mystery themed novels and detective shows, then they will love this program! This experience will give them the chance to test their critical thinking skills in hypothetical situations based in fantasy and reality. Participants will learn how to excel in puzzles and riddles that involve colors, wordplay, shapes, and math. Throughout the activity, they will be encouraged to share and debate hypotheses with their peers to work together to solve the mystery before the workshop ends.

Materials needed: Paper and pencil to write down clues!
Badge connections: Daisy Making Choices, Brownie Senses, Junior Detective, Junior Digital Game Design, Cadette Special Agent, Cadette Finding Common Ground, Senior Truth Seeker, Senior Game Visionary, Ambassador Digital Game Design
