Welcome to our Makerspace! A collaborative space where girls become innovators, scientists, and leaders by learning through hands-on and self-directed exploration!

Launched in November 2017, this STEM-intensive space is headquartered in our Georgetown office, but we’re dedicated to bringing Makerspace opportunities to all regions in western Washington.

Makerspace Open Time

Makerspace Open Time, which is usually held on the first Saturday of the month, is self-directed, exploratory time. Participants have access to all the tools and materials in the Makerspace. Come with a project in mind or get inspired on the spot! Two facilitators will be on hand to help get participants set up with projects or equipment, but the ability for facilitators to work one-on-one depends on demand. All ages are welcome. A cost of $5 per Girl Scout youth member covers supplies and materials for our Makerspace.

Beginning in Fall 2018, pop-up Makerspaces will travel around western Washington to host Open Time!

See what activities are available during open times.

Facilitated Maker Skills Workshops

Facilitated workshops are focused on learning a maker-skill. We’ll cover the basics (at the age-appropriate level) to get you started, so you can go forth and apply your skills! Each workshop includes a hands-on take-home project.

A cost of $10 per Girl Scout covers supplies and the take-home project.

Ages: All Ages, or Different age levels depending on the workshop
