Volunteer-Led Camps

Thank you for stopping by! We are currently finalizing our Summer 2021 plans. Please check back here at the beginning of March for updated information.

Camp Update for the 2020-2021 Membership Year

As we continue to navigate COVID-19 impacts to our council, we have had to make difficult decisions regarding the use of our camps.

Please visit this page for our most recent update regarding Camp Programs and Properties.

As the COVID-19 outbreak is ongoing and its course is impossible to predict, we’ll need to work through a decision later in the coming membership year regarding safety and feasibility for any camp programs to occur. Therefore, all Community Camps and Day Camps scheduling is to be determined (TBD).

Did you know? In addition to our staff-led programs at Camp River Ranch, Camp Robbinswold, and Camp St. Albans, we also have volunteer-led camps across our region!

These fun, low-cost camps are entirely planned and run by our awesome Girl Scout volunteers! We offer sleep-away Community Camps and Volunteer-Led Day and Twilight Camps—plus, girls in grades 7+ can also hone their leadership skills as Program Aides!

Financial Assistance

The financial assistance process for volunteer-led summer camp is the same as it is for our other summer camps.

Financial Assistance camp grants are available to help with the cost of camp, up to $250 per year.

To apply for this grant, complete the annual Financial Assistance eligibility process on our Financial Assistance page. and register your camper for camp through our camp registration system CampMinder.

When you register, you will have to pay a $25 camp deposit which is not covered by Financial Assistance and must be paid at the time of registration. If your $250 Camp Grant is approved, you will receive an email confirmation and it will be applied to the camp session that you choose. Any remaining balance must be paid by May 19, 2020.

If your camper joined a waitlist, you must still complete the Financial Assistance application process to get pre-approved for Financial Assistance. You must submit your Financial Assistance application at least three weeks prior to the start of your camper’s waitlisted session so that we have time to process your request. If a spot becomes available for your camper, you will be contacted by someone on the camp registration team. You will need to let them know that you have been approved for Financial Assistance and would like your $250 grant applied towards the cost of your camp session.
