DuPont Office Announcement

Dear Girl Scout Community,

As Girl Scouts, we treasure so many different things - our beloved camps, our friendships, the travels we've embarked on, and the places where we created some of our most cherished memories. Sometimes those places are far away, and, sometimes, they're very close to home.

For those of you who live in the southern counties of western Washington, that home may be our DuPont Program Center. It has stood as a symbol of our commitment to the community for the last 12 years.

Just as new friends come into our lives, so too do new places - places that help us build those new friendships. No matter where those places are, we want to bring our girls with us, and the access they have to our programming and resources is always our top priority. We're always looking at ways to better serve our current membership, as well as potential members, and being in the communities where our girls are is the best way we can achieve our goals.

For these reasons, Girl Scouts of Western Washington's Board of Directors has taken action to  put the DuPont Program Center on the market, in order to explore options for a potential sale. Please note that no particular sale has been determined at this time. We're exploring what may be possible.

  • Thank you to those who attended our community meeting at the DuPont Program Center on August 24. If you were unable to attend, we welcome your ideas in our DuPont Relocation Feedback survey, which you can find here.
  • Please read our full email to members about the potential sale here. Our follow-up email about our online survey and community meeting can be found here.
  • Retail store in the south: We have already begun asking our members in our southern counties for feedback on their needs, and a retail store has come up several times. Please know that we are listening, and that if a sale were to happen, locations for program centers and a new store location would be part of the discussion!
  • If you have any questions, we would love to talk to you at
