Face-to-Face Workshop - no fee
Learn how to plan and implement outdoor programs based on age-specific progression, needs, desires and skills of the girls in your troop as well as the administrative steps needed to take an outdoor field trip.
Qualifies participants to take girls on an outdoor day (not overnight) trip of four or more hours.
Pre-requisite: Troop Leaders: Getting Started, and Jump Into Journeys; strongly suggested: Outdoor Specialist: Girl Scouting 101
Preparing for your workshop:
Volunteer Essentials and/or Safety Activity Checkpoints are used in this workshop take a look at them online before you attend, if you are able to download them and bring them along that would be great. Also if you have it, bring Outdoor Education in Girl Scouting and any other Girl Scout resource including Journey book sets, Girl's Guide to Girl Scouting, as well as your learning record card. If you do not have these books or resources, there will be extra copies to share during the course.
Online Workshop - no fee
This workshop can also be taken from home. You will need a desktop or laptop computer with internet access that allows you to get audio. The online version of the workshop will work in any browser, click here to register.
