 Continuing Education

Continuing Education workshops are intended to enrich your experience as a Girl Scout and as a volunteer. A few of the most regularly offered workshops are described below, but many others occur at regional and council conferences.

Workshops

Travel Planning with Girls - $10
Learn the administrative steps necessary for planning a fantastic trip - international, backcountry or close to home. You will get guidelines, planning tips, policies and procedures, and team building ideas.
Pre-requisite: Outdoor Overnight for most Outdoor trips, or Indoor Outdoor Independent Packet depending on the type of trip planned.

Preparing for your workshop: One of the books we will be using for this class is available on the Travel page.  You can choose to print the adult and girl  guide out or you can purchase it at the Girl Scout Store and bring it with you to the class.  We will have copies to work with during the course if you choose to not print the Global Travel Tool Kit, but you may want to have your own to take notes in.

Working with Teens - $10
Learn the strategies and knowledge that will help you work effectively with girls transitioning into adolescence, and help teens guide their own programs and activities with positive outcomes. Strongly recommended for all leaders and advisors who work with teens or who will soon transition into Cadettes.

Preparing for your workshop: Please bring a Cadette Journey set (How to Guide and Girl's Book) if possible.
