    This exciting workshop is designed to give volunteers the materials and skills needed to create their own After Dark program for Cadettes to earn their Night Owl badge! Serving as the Event Director, each volunteer will learn program logistics, like setting up tours and arranging for transportation, as well as what activities will best keep girls interested and engaged. Basic information regarding marketing, promotion, and management of the program will be covered as well. Participants will be able to leave the workshop with a plan for their own After Dark program, as well as connect with others who may have valuable ideas and feedback.     Description:
    Participate in this first of its kind workshop designed to give volunteers the know-how and tools they need to create exciting Series and Event type programs for girls in their communities! This workshop will cover everything from program logistics, like completing necessary paperwork for recruiting girls and volunteers, to program content creation and best practices for working with girls. This will include breaking down content information, and helping participants incorporate the Girl Scout Leadership Experience processes and outcomes into their program. In addition to being able to leave this workshop with the framework for a program of their creation, participants will be part of a focus group to provide influential feedback about the workshop, helping to make it a valuable resource for future volunteers interested in providing more programming opportunities to girls in our communities!
