    Prerequisites: Must know how to canoe, kayak and rowboat. An evaluation of your skills will be done prior to completing the workshop.
    Description:
    Become a Red Cross Instructor of Fundamentals of Canoeing; Basic Water Rescue; Small Craft Safety, Canoe, Rowboat, Kayak.  You will come to camp on June 6th at 6pm and stay until Sunday June 8th at 4pm.  The pre-course webinar is on May 28th from 6:30pm-9:30pm.  Participants will need to complete the online pre-course work and reading prior to arriving at camp.  Complete this workshop to become a Red Cross instructor of Canoeing Fundamentals and Small Craft Safety.  This is a multi date and location workshop. This weekend workshop  is intended for people who already have the knowledge of small crafts, but want to become an instructor for girls.  This workshop can qualify you along with experience to act as the waterfromt supervisor at one of the Girl Scout camp's waterfronts when boating is the primary use.  Paper registrations must be in DuPont  no later than May 21.  Prerequisite to skills day – Pre course written evaluation; Blended Learning online course work; Swim evaluation; Fundamentals of Instructor Self Study Homework.     Description:
    This workshop will give you the skills you need to respond to an emergency when help may be delayed. This includes wilderness and remote environments, including urban disasters, earthquakes and hurricanes. This workshop will start at 7:00pm on Friday and continue until approximately 3:00pm on Sunday. This workshop is required when a group is outside of a 20 minute EMS response. It also qualifies as a Level 2 First Aider for Encamporees. This level of Health Supervision is required for groups of over 200 peopleat Encamporees, and other events. PREREQUISITE: Current Adult CPR/AED Certification.

    Description:
    Take this workshop to become certified in Small Craft Safety for Canoes, and Rowboats. This workshop also include a Basic Water Rescue portion that qualifies the participant to be the safety person for creek walking in Girl Scouts of Western Washington.
    This workshop is focused on safety skills for boating and does not teach the participant how to use the craft. All participants must pass a boating skills verification, demonstrating ability to maneuver the craft, and swim test, including treading water 1 min. and swimming 25 yards fully dressed, to become certified. This is a physical workshop including demonstration of rescuing self and others using technics applicable to each specific craft. Pre-course materials review will be required.  For: Adults and girls 18 years old.
