Gold Award: Leadership Journey requirements

Note: Use these requirements if you began your Gold Award after September 30, 2009. For questions or if you started your Gold Award before this date, visit the main Gold Award page.

By earning the Girl Scout Gold Award—the highest award a Girl Scout Senior or Girl Scout Ambassador can earn—you will be joining the ranks of generations of young women who have made a difference in their communities, both locally and globally.

Fulfilling the requirements for the Girl Scout Gold Award starts with completing two Senior or Ambassador Leadership Journeys or having earned the Silver Award and completing one Senior or Ambassador Leadership Journey. Here is a brief summary of the steps involved in earning your Gold Award.  For a full summary, as well as additional resources, use the Gold Award workbook (available from the Girl Scout Store).

While the prerequisites and resources will be the same as listed on the GSUSA website, Girl Scouts of Western Washington will have our own system for Gold Award approval and reporting.
