Patch: Work Like A Beaver

Service projects are a part of Girl Scouting and should be done as an on-going part of the program. Now
and then there are some special projects for GSWW that can be done by Girl Scouts, families or friends of Girl Scouting. Work Like a Beaver projects are 3-12 hours.

Troop provides:
  1. Eager beavers and troop leadership.
  2. Completed Beaver Project Sign-Up Form.
  3. Possibly some extra tools.

GSWW will provide:

  1. Some special tools and materials (check with site manager).
  2. Instruction and supervision on site.
  3. Hot dogs, potato chips, and drinks for all involved on the work day (applies only to projects for 6 hours or more).
  4. Worked Like a Beaver Patch and/or 3-hour segments for all participants.  

HOW TO FIND EVENTS: Work Like a Beaver projects are listed in the online calendar. If no events are in the online calendar, they have not yet been planned for the next calendar year. Note: Events usually happen in the spring.
