Program Collaborator

A collaborator is an organization that provides programming to Girl Scouts.  They understand and implement the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, including the three processes.  A program or event provided by a collaborator must demonstrate that it meets at least one of the program outcomes for girls.  To become a collaborator, an  organization must complete the partnership application and go through an approval process. Learn more about becoming a collaborator.

Sponsor

A sponsor usually agrees to underwrite in cash and/or in-kind value as a gift or grant; or to underwrite an event; series of events; combination of event(s) and/or Girl Scout programs; and/or marketing initiatives in combination with events and/or programs. Interested parties should contact Joe Barnes, Chief Marketing and Development Officer, (800) 767-6845 x311 / (206) 826-2187, joewb@girlscoutsww.org.

Girl Scouts of Western Washington usually enters a marketing alliance with an organization or company that has the ability to reach a large constituency that aligns with the mission and values of Girl Scouts. Priority will be given to those organizations/companies that have a constituency that includes significant numbers of girls, parents and potential volunteers. The nature of the agreement may include:

  • Cross marketing  and/or stories in each other’s printed and electronic publications
  • Shared event marketing and/or cross promotion
  • Limited collaborative programming* relevant to girls and in alignment with the mission and values of both organizations
  • Shared commercials, advertisements and/or PSA’s
  • Other marketing and/or promotional materials that might be development as part of the alliance
  • Shared mention in news releases
  • Joint showcasing and/or marketing as a result of partnership "campaigns."

* Programming requires a substantial developmental process and these partners must meet Collaborator requirements.
