A community day camp

at Tacoma

Who: Girl Scouts entering 1st – 6th grade in the fall, Program Aides in grades 7 and up, and adult volunteers

Come join us at Wapato Park in Tacoma as we “Take a Walk on the Wild Side of Washington.” We will build new friendships, make arts and crafts, sing songs, play games, explore different habitats, identify plants and animals, examine different climates, learn new outdoor skills, and develop environmental awareness.

PROGRAM AIDES: Program Aides will work with units of younger girls while they lead activities and songs, teach camp progression skills, and learn qualities to make them effective leaders. Girl must have completed 6th grade to be a Program Aide. The cost for Program Aides is $35. Registration deadline for Program Aides is May 21, 2010. VOLUNTEERS: Our camp cannot happen without adult volunteers. Children of volunteers attend at a discounted rate, depending on level of service. For details, contact Sue Grewe at jsgrewe@comcast.net.

COST FOR CAMPERS:

Register by May 7th Early bird discount extended until May 21! and save $10.

• Registered Girl Scout campers: $85
• Tag-A-Long Unit (children of volunteers, ages3-5): $50
• Boys Unit (children of volunteers): $50

If you are not currently a registered Girl Scout, please include an additional $12 for membership through September 30, 2010.

To register, download the Day/Twilight Camp registration form, complete both sides and mail with payment to:

If you are interested in volunteering, download and complete the Volunteer Interest form, and return it with the registration form.

Registrations must be postmarked by May 21, 2010 for Program Aides and June 1, 2010 for campers.
