Pierce County Luncheon a Success!
Congratulations to Sharon Peterson, Dixie Harris and Loretta Clubb, our 2010 Pierce County Women of Distinction!
On April 20, 2010, over 300 guests from the Pierce County area joined Girl Scouts of Western Washington for their annual Pierce County Women of Distinction Luncheon.
With the support of community leaders, corporate sponsors, volunteers and former Women of Distinction, the Girl Scouts of Western Washington was able to raise $46,965! These funds will benefit more than 26,000 girls in the 17-county region of Girl Scouts of Western Washington.
Hosting this event was KIRO-7 Julie Francavilla. Julie had the pleasure of introducing two outstanding girl speakers Julie Nguyen and Niki Hobbs, and our three 2010 Women of Distinction honorees, Sharon Peterson, Dixie Harris and Loretta Clubb. Our honorees provided speeches about their memories of being a Girl Scout and how that experience led to their being honored as Women of Distinction.
