Did You Know?

Girl Scouts of Western Washington:

• Provided $369,377 in Financial Assistance in 2009 for girls in need
• Subsidized an average of $188 per camper
• Relies on grants and donations for more than 35% of our budget each year
• Empowers girls from underserved communities including girls with incarcerated mothers, girls in foster care, girls from immigrant and refugee communities, and girls in public housing

We are asking families to donate to our 2009-2010 Family Giving Campaign. If 500 families donate $25 by September 2010, we will reach our goal!

Over 900 troop and staff families have now collectively raised over $5,500. We are thrilled to have exceeded our goal of number of families! There is still time to participate!

Due to your amazing support, we’ve run out of patches and have to re-order! And since we’re re-ordering anyway, we have decided to extend the patch program (while the new supply lasts) until September 1, and raise our goal to $10,000, with which we can send 100 girls to Day Camp!
