Each spring Girl Scouts of Western Washington presents the Award of Excellence and the Ellen Datin Memorial scholarships. The purpose of these awards is to help graduating Girl Scouts in Western Washington achieve their goals and develop their individual potential as they move on. These awards recognize and reward girls who have displayed personal excellence in Girl Scouting, academic achievement, community service and self-development.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a registered Girl Scout in Western Washington
  • Graduate in spring/summer 2008
  • Be less than 21 years old.
  • To qualify for the Ellen Datin Memorial Scholarship you must live within the boundaries of the Auburn, Federal Way, Kent, Renton, or Tahoma School Districts.

Applicants will be evaluated based on demonstrated leadership in the areas of community service, Girl Scouting, self-development, and academic achievement. Note: At least one scholarship will be awarded to a Gold Award recipient.
