Conference Planning Board

Formerly Senior Planning Board or SPB

Conference Planning Board is a group of girls ages 11-17 who plan council-wide events for other older girls.

The main events sponsored by Conference Planning Board are a fall and spring conference at Camp River Ranch, where girls participate in workshops centered around a theme ( e.g., performing arts, rest and relaxation) and have lots of fun. We have also planned miscellaneous activities, including an auto maintenance workshop and an ice cream social.

Conference Planning Board officers and representatives come from all regions of the council. In their first year on the board, girls serve as representatives. After that, they may serve as president, vice-president, treasurer, secretary, historian, event director, or some combination of these roles. Representatives and officers meet monthly throughout the year to plan the events we sponsor.

Interested in serving as a representative on the Conference Planning Board? Contact Amy Bierman-Rydel, Teen Program Manager, at (206) 826-2160. Or attend the next conference and find out more there!
