“Our BIG Outdoors"
G.S.W.W. OUTDOOR WEEKEND 2010
Camp Robbinswold   March 26th – 28th

Hello and Welcome to the 49th Outdoor Weekend!  We are looking forward to meeting you and spending a weekend at beautiful Camp Robbinswold.

** Camp will be held REGARDLESS of the weather! **

**Some facts that you’ll need to know:
• Driving
directions are attached; review them carefully. (Some have found navigation systems get "lost" in these rural areas.)  Please be sure to allow ample time for travel and arrival to avoid stress and missing any experience we have planned for you.
• Have the linked "parking permit" filled out and placed on your dashboard to speed the parking process.  Parking at Camp Robbinswold is limited.  Parking attendants will help you park your vehicle and direct you.  Carpooling is encouraged.  See info below if you would like to "share a ride."
• You may check in with staff at the Lodge between 5:30-6:45.  Time permitting, you may settle into your unit, enjoy "early bird activities" with special guest trainers for this event, or just relax after your long drive and get acquainted with the other campers.  (Our volunteer cooks have planned a tasty soup to warm and welcome you.)
• The formal opening is at 7:00 in the lodge (Camp is over at 2:30 Sunday.)
• Please bring a coffee mug to keep with your throughout the weekend for your beverages.
•  The “Mini Girl Scout Store” will also be available during this time.  The Mini Store will only be able to accept the following: Credit Cards, Checks or as exact change as possible. Preorders will be delivered & waiting for you at camp.
• This year, we again have, A Carpool Organizer. She will send you an e-mail with the contact info other’s attending the event from your area who are looking to carpool. If you are interested but did not mark that on your registration form, please e-mail Donna Gathany at
DonnaJG@earthlink.net and she will help..
• Please carefully review
“Tips for Staying Comfortable Outside” to ensure your entire weekend is warm and enjoyable. Be sure to pack your things (click your class for your packing list, Outdoor 2, Outdoor 3, Advanced Camping, Advanced Camping 2 (and letter), and Quantity Cooking) in a sturdy duffel bag and bring a day backpack for readily needed items.
• Please take a few minutes to complete both sides of the Health Card. Bring your completed health card with you when you check in at the Lodge.

If for some reason you are not able to attend this weekend, please contact Robin, the Adult Program Registrar at either 206-826-2163 or 1-800-767-6845, ext. 229 as soon as possible, we do have a waitlist and would like to open your spot up to others. Unexpected problems do occur, if this should happen, please call camp at 1-360-877-5455 and let us know. If you are not at camp by 7:00pm, we will be worried about you and will call your home to verify your safety.

Looking forward to seeing you!
