Strategic Plan

A strategic plan is similar to a road map. It identifies key initiatives and guides an organization to achieve specific goals. It encompasses the organization’s vision as well as the more tactical information that maps out the steps to achieve its goals.

In February 2008, Girl Scouts of Western Washington embarked on a journey to create a strategic plan for 2009-2012 that will unite Western Washington behind a common vision and goals for the future, assuring that Girl Scouts will continue to thrive throughout our region.

The strategic planning process will take more than a year with implementation anticipated in April 2009. The process we will use to develop the strategic plan is intended to help us understand all facets of our organization, including strengths, weaknesses, trends, and issues in the communities we serve. We want to engage as many of our volunteers, girls, and families as possible in the development of the plan.
