Region: South Puget Sound

The South Puget Sound region includes Lewis, Pierce and Thurston counties, and is served by the DuPont Girl Scout Center.

  • The DuPont Resource Library has four computers that have internet access and are running Windows XP with Excel, Access, Word and Power Point. Troops and groups can reserve the room and the use of the computers for Girl Scout programs. What a great way for girls to earn Computer Smarts Try-Its, the Computer Fun Badge or the Computers in Everyday Life Interest Project Award!
  • Zink the Zebra Program Kits for all levels have been added to the Resource Library for check-out by troops. There is also a Zink the Zebra Program Kit that is geared for events and larger groups.

Resources

Girl Scout Store
The store carries the merchandise found in the Girl Scout catalog, including handbooks, pins, badges, patches, uniforms, recognitions, gifts, craft kits, scrap booking supplies, songbooks and many other fun items. Click here for store locations and information.

Resource Library
The DuPont Resource Library has a variety of books and resource materials for check-out, including girl and leader handbooks and award books, and books on ceremonies, crafts, songs, science, history, nature, camping, videos and much more. Also available are copies of most local and national forms.

Computers
The Resource Library has four computers that are available for use by girls and adults during office hours. The computers may be reserved for special use by contacting the receptionist.

Equipment Depot 
There are three portable TV/VHS televisions and four sewing machines available. Call in advance to reserve equipment; a refundable deposit is required.

Program Materials
Flags and flag stands, parade banners, ceremonial candle holders and bridges are available for loan. There are a number of Program Kits ready to take to a troop meeting for instant program, including Zink the Zebra, Lummi Sticks, How to Read a Map and more. Call in advance to reserve equipment; a refundable deposit is required.

Conference Room 
Rooms may be reserved by contacting the receptionist. Conference tables and chairs, easels, TV/VCR and white board are provided. All reservations and check-outs at the DuPont Girl Scout Center are made through the receptionist.
